Bittorrent file sharing system |
|||||||||||
Bittorrent is a p2p (peer to peer) system which means we each help eachother get the file. One person has the original file and then starts to share it (seeder) to others which while they download share it with yet others. To begin we download a small index file (.torrent) which tells our bittorrent program where to connect to get the file. To use, first install a bittorrent client like bitlord, bitcomet, azereus etc. Then you can click on bittorrent links (open) which will then automatically open the bittorrent client program and start the download and the file will eventually be done (if people still seed it). It works by the golden rule; do onto others as you would want them to do to you. If you use a router or firewall for your internet connection, that might prevent your download with your BT client. Getting an internet connection that does not use routers (shared IPs) is recommended.
